Solution:
Autolog Turkey was contacted at 12 noon on Friday with an
emergency freight request. 2 hours later a Bell 206 helicopter
had landed at the closest airport to the supplier and the
goods were loaded with the assistance of Pan personnel who
rode with the shipment. Returning to Istanbul international
airport after a 55 minute flight, the express freight was
inspected, repacked and then loaded into a Lockheed-Martin
Jetstar II private jet.
The charter jet
received clearance to take off at 17:12pm on Friday afternoon
and arrived at Le Harve airport at 19:32 local time. Goods
were delivered to the consignee at 20:15.

Challenge:
To arrange the immediate transportation of tires from Korea
to Ford's production plant in Kocaeli, Turkey. Ford required
this shipment to break its record for yearly production, exports
and sales.
Solution: Ford became the
number one car company in Turkey based on sales for 2004 with
the help of Autolog. Autolog arranged a supplier pick up window
and airline space booking at 3am on the 24th of December. The
shipments were split due to the space restrictions and alternative
routes defined. The tires were delivered 1 day ahead of schedule
to Ford allowing them to have a record year!

production plant: 72 hours.

To move in the fastest way possible flexguard in order for
an automotive production facility to continue operation.
Dimensions:
Total weight of 35 kg.
Solution:
With close coordination between FEDERAL MOGUL SPG (System
Protection Group), France and HUTCHINSON in Poland the flexguard
was picked up at the supplier's facilities with a dedicated
vehicle and delivered to Roissy airport in time for the first
available flight to Poland. At the destination airport in
Poland, goods were transported with a dedicated vehicle to
their factory in Zywiec.

Challenge:
To move in the fastest way possible pistons in order for an
automotive production facility to continue operation.
Dimensions:
Total weight of 120 kg.
Solution:
With close coordination between suppliers in Turkey and Dacia
in Romania a pick up time from the supplier and drop off window
were finalized immediately.
The pistons were picked up at the supplier's facilities with
a dedicated vehicle and delivered to Ataturk airport in time
for the first available flight to Romania. An On Board Courier
consulted with customs at and boarded the flight to Bucharest.
At the destination
airport in Bucharest, Romania the On Board Courier meet again
with customs officials. Goods were delivered to Dacia at the
airport and then transported to their factory in Pitesti.

molding for an automotive production facility.

kg. Volume of 170 cbm
Solution: Because of the oversized
dimensions Pan air & sea freight were given the
technical dimensions to find the most appropriate charter aircraft.
In less than 24
hours Autolog France had positioned an Antonov 22 at the Porto
airport. Special heavy lift cranes were organized at both the
airport of departure and arrival to loan/unload the cargo.
At the destination airport in Bucharest, Romania 4 trucks were
needed to deliver the goods to Dacia's Pitesti production site.
